Monstera Burle Marx Flame

The Monstera Burle Marx Flame is a rare climbing Monstera, admired for its narrow, deeply-lobed “flame” leaves, sometimes developing fenestrations as it matures. 

The leaves tend to be tougher than some other delicate Monsteras, but still vulnerable to too much sun and inconsistent moisture.

🌱 Light

• Prefers bright, indirect light (near an east- or south-facing window with filtered light).

• Tolerates medium light but growth will be slower and fenestration (leaf splits) may be less dramatic.

• Avoid direct midday sun; it can scorch the leaves.

💧 Watering

• Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil feel dry.

• Use a well-draining potting mix and ensure the pot has drainage holes.

• In spring/summer: water more frequently (roughly once a week).

• In fall/winter: water less frequently as growth slows.

• Avoid letting it sit in water — root rot is its biggest risk.

🌡️ Temperature & Humidity

• Thrives in 65–85°F (18–29°C).
  

• Prefers high humidity (60%+). Use a humidifier or pebble tray if your indoor air is dry.
