🌿 Begonia curtisii ‘Galaxy’ Care

☀️ Light:
Bright, indirect light. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves. A grow light also works very well.

💧 Watering:
Keep the substrate lightly moist but never soggy. Allow the top layer to dry slightly before watering again. It is sensitive to root rot.

💦 Humidity:
Prefers high humidity — ideally 70% or higher. It does especially well in a plant cabinet or terrarium. Avoid letting water sit on the leaves.

🌡️ Temperature:
Best around 20–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

🪴 Soil:
Use a very airy, fast-draining mix. A good combination is:

• Fine potting mix or coco peat

• Plenty of perlite

• A little fine orchid bark

🌱 Fertilizer:
Feed lightly during active growth with a diluted balanced fertilizer. About ¼–½ strength every 2–4 weeks is sufficient.

✨ Extra Tips:
Begonia curtisii ‘Galaxy’ is a tuberous begonia and can occasionally enter dormancy. If it starts dying back, reduce watering rather than assuming the plant is dead—the tuber may simply be resting.

🐱 Pet Safety:
Keep it away from cats and dogs that like to chew plants, as begonias contain calcium oxalates.
