🪴 Light

Provide bright, indirect light. The variegated leaves need plenty of light to maintain their colors, but avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage. A spot near an east or north-facing window is ideal.

🌡️ Temperature

Keep the plant in a warm environment between 20°C and 28°C (68°F–82°F). 

💧 Watering

Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil feels dry. Ensure the pot has drainage holes and never let the plant sit in water. Overwatering is one of the most common causes of root rot.

🌫️ Humidity

Alocasia Ninja Tricolor thrives in high humidity (60–80%). Use a humidifier, mist occasionally, or place the pot on a pebble tray with water to maintain moisture around the plant.

🌱 Soil

Use a loose, well-draining mix—something airy like a combination of peat or coco coir, orchid bark, and perlite. Avoid compact soil, which can trap moisture around the roots.

🌾 Fertilizer

Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted fertilizer. Stop fertilizing in autumn and winter when growth slows.

🪴 Repotting

Repot only when the roots outgrow the pot—usually every 1–2 years. Do it during active growth so the plant can recover easily.

🌘 Dormancy

In cooler or darker months, the plant may slow down or drop some leaves. Reduce watering but don’t let the soil dry out completely. Keep it warm and humid until growth resumes.

• Yellow leaves: Often from overwatering.
