Begonia Maculata Wightii Angel Wings

Dhs. 135.00

Light

  • Bright indirect light is best
  • Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun — it can scorch the leaves
  • Morning sun is usually okay

Water

  • Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry
  • Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy
  • Do not let the pot sit in water

Humidity

  • Loves medium to high humidity (50%+)
  • Brown crispy edges usually mean air is too dry
  • Avoid misting too much because begonias can get fungal issues

Soil

Use a chunky, airy mix:

  • Potting soil
  • Perlite
  • Orchid bark or coco chips

Good drainage is very important.

Size: 45cm, comes in nursery pot

Temperature

  • Ideal: 18–28°C
  • Keep away from cold AC drafts

Fertilizer

  • Feed once every 2–4 weeks during spring/summer
  • Use balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength

Common Problems

  • Yellow leaves → overwatering
  • Crispy edges → low humidity or underwatering
  • Leggy stems → not enough light
  • Powdery mildew → poor airflow / wet leaves

Extra Tip

These begonias prefer being slightly root-bound and actually do very well in stylish decorative pots as long as there’s drainage inside.
