🪴 Sansevieria Pyramid Care Guide
🌞 Light
-
Preferred: Bright, indirect light.
-
Tolerates: Low light, but growth may slow.
-
Avoid: Direct sun for long periods—it can scorch the leaves.
💧 Watering
-
Low water needs. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
-
Watering frequency: Every 2–4 weeks depending on season and environment.
-
Warning: Overwatering is the most common killer. Root rot sets in quickly.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
-
Ideal temp: 65–85°F (18–29°C).
-
Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine. Avoid very damp environments.
🪨 Soil
-
Well-draining is key. Use cactus/succulent mix or make your own:
-
2 parts potting soil
-
1 part perlite or pumice
-
1 part coarse sand
-
🌱 Fertilizer
-
Low feeders. Use a diluted cactus fertilizer every 6–8 weeks in spring/summer.
🪴 Potting & Repotting
-
Pot size: Slightly snug is okay; they like being root-bound.
-
Repotting: Every 2–3 years or when roots push out of the pot.
-
Use pots with drainage holes.
🌸 Flowering
-
Rare indoors, but mature plants can produce fragrant white flowers when slightly stressed (like being root-bound).
