Care Guide

• Pruning: Each spring, thin out dense branches so light and air can move through. Remove dead or crossing branches. Avoid cutting back too hard all at once — older olives respond better to gradual shaping.

• Watering: Deep and infrequent is best. Mature olives are drought-tolerant, but in very dry summers they’ll benefit from an occasional long soak.

• Feeding: Apply compost or well-rotted manure around the base in spring. If you want fruit, a balanced fertilizer (NPK) can help.
