Monstera Thai Constellation - XS

Dhs. 285.00

Size: 15-20cm

🌿 Light

  • Give your plant bright, indirect light — plenty of light helps maintain the variegation and strong growth.

  • Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the creamy parts of the leaves.

  • Too little light can cause new leaves to lose their variegation or appear mostly green.

💧 Watering & Soil

  • Water when the top 2–3 inches (or about ¾ of the soil) feels dry.

  • Always allow excess water to drain out — never let the plant sit in water.

  • Use a well-draining mix such as potting soil combined with orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir.

  • Avoid oversized pots; too much soil can hold excess moisture and cause root rot.

🌡 Temperature & Humidity

  • Keep it warm — ideally between 20–30 °C (68–86 °F).

  • Avoid cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.

  • This plant loves high humidity (around 60% or more). Use a humidifier or group plants together if your air is dry.

🧪 Fertilizer

  • Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer, diluted to half strength.

  • Stop or reduce feeding during fall and winter when growth naturally slows down.

🪴 Support & Growth

  • Provide a moss pole or trellis to support its climbing habit.

  • Tie stems gently as they grow upward — this encourages larger, more fenestrated (split) leaves.

  • Growth is slower than non-variegated Monsteras, so patience is key.

🐛 Pests & Problems

  • Root rot is the biggest risk — avoid overwatering.

  • Brown edges usually mean low humidity, light burn, or inconsistent watering.

  • Reverted leaves (green instead of variegated) indicate low light.

  • Keep an eye out for spider mites, thrips, or scale and clean the leaves regularly.
