Strelitzia Nicolai 'Bird of Paradise' Large Splits

Dhs. 2,200.00

Strelitzia Nicolai creates a tropical flair perfect for those who have boho or tropical interiors. It is always confused with the banana plant.

Birds of Paradise enjoy moist (but not soggy) soil, and being allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Try not to let the soil dry completely through the pot, but also avoid overwatering. Allow the top 2" - 3" of the soil to become dry between waterings, but below that should remain moist.

The heavy splits in the leaves of this  Bird of Paradise are natural, and allow light to access the lower portion of the plant. Apply extra humidity with a humidifier, pebble tray, or mister to keep the splitting to a minimum.

Rotate your plant periodically to ensure even growth on all sides and dust the leaves often so the plant can photosynthesize efficiently. When dusting the leaves, also take the opportunity to inspect the undersides and keep an eye out for pests.

Remember each plant is a unique living thing and may have varying needs, especially in their individual locations. Pay attention to the condition of your plant and its watering needs and you will have a long and happy relationship.

Sunlight: Thrives in bright direct to bright indirect light. Can take full sun.

Water: Water every 1-2 weeks, allowing soil to dry out between waterings. Expect to water more often in brighter light and less often in lower light. Bird of Paradise can be sensitive to hard tap water. Try using filtered water or leaving water out overnight before using.

Humidity: Normal room humidity will do, but does best in higher humidity.

All comes in regular nursery pots. Flower decor and any other accessories in the photo are not included.
