Olive trees prefer full sun, so place your tree in an area that gets at least four to six hours of direct sunlight per day. They will thrive the best indoors in an unobstructed South or West window, but the dwarf can tolerate Eastern light.

If your place is not giving enough light, install a grow light (full spectrum) to over the plant for 10-12 hours a day.

Water when the top three inches of the soil is dry and make sure to give enough water.
