Light

• Indoors: Needs bright, indirect light. It can handle a few hours of direct morning or late afternoon sun, but avoid harsh midday rays behind glass.

💧 Watering

• Keep soil consistently moist in spring and summer (the growing season).

• Let the top 2–5 cm (1–2 in) of soil dry before watering again.

• In fall and winter: reduce watering — allow soil to dry more between waterings.

• Avoid letting roots sit in water (they can rot).

🌱 Soil & Potting

• Needs a well-draining potting mix (e.g., standard indoor soil mixed with perlite/sand).

• If potted, repot every 2–3 years or when roots start breaking the container — they like to be snug, but not root-bound for too long.

🌿 Feeding

• During spring and summer: feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

• Stop fertilizing when growth slows.

• Extra phosphorus can encourage flowering.

• Remove old, damaged, or yellow leaves at the base.
