Calathea Iancifolia 'Rattle Snake'

Dhs. 85.00

If I were to name this plant, I will name this the Calathea Northern Star. It has bright green wavy leaves with purple underside that are adorned with alternating ovals of dark green. The plant gets its name from the lance-shaped foliage that will become more elongated as the plant matures. Lancifolia’s intricate foliage is one of the more subtle arrangements of the genus and is an essential addition to any tropical plant enthusiast.

Calathea Lancifolia thrives indoors with the correct care. Ensure your environment has high humidity with no direct sun light. Most importantly the plant should be watered with soft water only, free from calcium carbonate and other minerals found in many urban water sources. Grouping Calatheas will help achieve the correct humidity along with an attentive watering routine.

Care Tips:

Light: bright, indirect light

Water: generously in spring/summer, much less in winter; water should be room temperature and soft

Humidity: High

Soil: well draining

Warning: Do not get scared as the plant does not bite. Calathea are not poisonous which means it’s pet friendly (non toxic to cats and dogs)

The plant is about 15cm tall and comes in regular nursery pot size 12cm.
